馬來西亞大學玻璃市分校生物程序工程學院前來清華大學化學工程系進行標竿學習
Benchmarking Exercise with Chemical Engineering Program at NTHU from School of Bioprocess Engineering, University Malaysia Perlis

馬來西亞為華盛頓公約會員國,因此馬來西亞大學玻璃市分校生物程序學院院長Farizul Kasim博士及其校內2位成員,於26日前來國立清華大學化學工程系進行化學工程的標竿學習。會中由清華大學化工系劉主任及陳副校長接待,針對兩校化學工程的課程、專題研究執行、實驗室設備及工程認證的各項要求項目進行討論與比較,以讓馬來西亞大學玻璃市分校生物程序學院的化學工程領域具備全球化的挑戰能力。
The School of Bioprocess Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia offers a Chemical Engineering program, and since Malaysia is a signatory of Washington Accord (through Board of Engineer Malaysia), UniMAP regularly benchmarks and engages with other chemical engineering programs from fellow signatory countries. The Dean of School of Bioprocess Engineering, UniMAP, Dr. Farizul Kasim, and his 2 colleagues visited Department of Chemical Engineering, NTHU on February 6 for Benchmarking exercise to update their program in order to meet the global challenges as well as to build a network globally.
During the exercise, the Chairperson Liu has introduced the Chemical Engineering Program, NTHU to the delegates of UniMAP. The main objective of this exercise is to compare and evaluate UniMAP's Chemical Engineering performance, monitor standards, compare good practice and make quality improvements with NTHU's Chemical Engineering Department. During the exercise, the curriculum structure of both programs, the delivery of the courses, the capstone design project implementation, undergraduate research project, lab facilities and samples of test/ exam/ assignments are compared.
