WISE海外研究中心研習會議 – 永續發展之循環經濟型綠色及節能技術
WISE Center Workshop: Circular Economy-Based Green and Energy-Saving Technology for Sustainable Development
在科技部的支持下，清華大學於2021年1月25至28日舉辦「WISE海外研究中心研習會議 – 永續發展之循環經濟型綠色及節能技術」線上及實體會議。共有國內及新南向國家10國63人，參加為期4天的會議。會中除邀請清華大學教授進行課程的講授外，也邀請馬來西亞大學玻璃市分校Hui Lin Ong教授、馬來西亞工科大學(UTM) Choong Weng Wai教授及菲律賓De La Salle大學 Alvin Culaba教授，針對農業廢棄物循環再用、循環經濟環境行為及生命週期評估進行課程講授。會中也針對循環經濟在技術面、社經面及合作面的影響進行深入的討論。
To reinforce the possible collaboration on sustainable development between Taiwan and New South-bound Countries, National Tsing Hua University has held 「WISE Center Workshop: Circular Economy-Based Green and Energy-Saving Technology for Sustainable Development」during January 25 – 28, 2021 under the financial support of Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). A total of 63 participants, including Taiwan, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, and has attended the Workshop by either face-to-face meeting or webinar. during November 29 – December 5, 2020. Due to the impact on COVID-19, all the participants have been already in Taiwan for studying or visiting. In addition to the lectures on sustainable development, all the participants need to introduce his/her research activity. The discussion on the impact of SDGs on environment as well as socioeconomic aspects, led by the Prof. Lien from National University of Kaohsiung, has also been performed. All the participants agree that sustainable development is essential and important on ASEAN and South Asia, but need to consider the special circumstance of each country. Participants also agree that WISE Center can play a central role in coordinating the experts in New South-bound countries to strategically develop environmentally green technology and clean energy for SDGs.

International Conference on Biomass Utilization and Sustainable Energy 2020
清華大學與馬來西亞大學玻璃市分校於12月15 – 16日，於該校生質能利用卓越研究中心(WISE海外研究中心辦公室)共同舉辦「2020生質能利用與永續能源」線上國際會議，除邀請台灣學者擔任開幕的大會演講講員外，也邀請與馬來西亞國內及新南向國家包括菲律賓、越南、泰國及尼泊爾等國的專家學者共同與會，會中針對生質能在潔淨水質與永續能源應用的合作議題進行深入的討論。
National Tsing Hua University cooperated with Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) to launch virtual Conference of “International Conference on Biomass Utilization and Sustainable Energy 2020” during December 15 – 16, 2020. The Taiwanese Professor has been invited to serve as the Keynote Speaker at this conference. A total of more than 150 scholars from Taiwan, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Nepal have attended this Webinar to share the research results and experience on Biomass Utilization on Clean Water and Sustainable Energy.
